Upgrading Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001 Client Components

To use the optional components for backward-compatible document libraries, you must upgrade the client components on every computer that is using the components.

1. Insert the SharePoint Portal Server CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. On the page that appears, click Install optional components.
3. On the Optional Components page, click Install client components for backward-compatible document libraries.
