Repairing the Component for Backward-Compatible Document Libraries

You can repair the installation of the component for backward-compatible document libraries (Web Storage System-based). Repairing this component automatically repairs the client components as well.

Repair the component for backward-compatible document libraries

1. Log on to the computer running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 as a local or domain administrator.
2. Click Start, point to Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs.
3. In the Add or Remove Programs dialog box, click Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 DM Components.
4. Click Change/Remove.
5. On the Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Maintenance page, click Repair, and then click Next.

   A message that lists services that will be stopped appears.

6. To stop the services and continue, click OK.

   The Component Progress page appears, and Windows repairs the component for backward-compatible document libraries.

7. On the Completing the Document Library Setup Wizard page, click Finish.
8. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
