Deleting a Content Source

When you delete a content source, it is permanently removed from the portal site. It is not available for search, and you cannot restore it. However, content will be returned in search results until the next full crawl.

You cannot delete the content sources configured during portal site creation.

Delete a content source

1. On the Site Settings page, in the Search Settings and Indexed Content section, click Configure search and indexing.
2. On the Configure Search and Indexing page, in the Other Content Sources section, click Manage content sources.
3. On the Manage Content Sources page, rest the pointer on the content source name, and then click the arrow that appears.
4. On the menu that appears, click Delete.
5. In the confirmation message box that appears, click OK.
