- In the backward-compatible document library on the portal site, right-click the document, and then click Check out.
- Right-click the document again, and then click Check In.
- A profile form appears. Make your changes in the fields on the form. An asterisk (*) next to a field indicates required information.
- Click OK.
- Right-click the document, and then click Check In.
A new version of the document, with your updated document profile, is now checked in to the document library.
