Specify automatic approval in the backward-compatible document library

To specify whether to approve and publish documents in a folder when a user selects the Publish command, use the Approval tab on the Properties page of the folder.

Select or clear the check box for approving documents

Specify automatic approval

  1. From the network place for the backward-compatible document library, right-click the folder you want to configure, and then click Properties.
  2. Click the Approval tab.
  3. Select or clear the Documents must be approved before publishing check box.
  4. Click OK.

    Note  You can make changes to a folder approval process, but these changes take effect only for documents submitted for approval after the changes are made. Changes to the approval process do not affect documents already pending approval.
