Provide a document profile description in the backward-compatible document library

Provide a document profile description in the backward-compatible document library

You can provide a description for each document profile by using the Properties page of the specific profile. The description provides users with information about the document profile, and helps them determine whether the document profile appropriately describes the documents with which they are working.

  1. Open the Web folder for the document library.
  2. Open the Management folder, and then open the Document Profiles folder.
  3. Right-click the document profile with which you want to work, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the General tab.
  5. In the Description box, type a description for the document profile.
  6. Click OK.
