Edit or delete a property from a document profile in the backward-compatible document library
You can only delete a property if it is no longer associated with any document profile in the backward-compatible document library.
If you delete a property from the document profile, it no longer appears on any document profile.
Note After you delete a property, you cannot restore it. You cannot delete system properties.
Edit or delete a property from a document profile
- From the network place for the backward-compatible document library, open the Management folder, and then open the Document Profiles folder.
- Right-click the document profile with which you want to work, and then click Properties.
- Click the Properties tab.
- Click Select Properties.
- Do one of the following:
- Click the property that you want to edit and then click Edit.
To edit the document profile description, make the necessary changes in the Description box. Select or clear the Require users to enter a value for this property check box to indicate whether users must enter a value. To edit values for a List property, click Edit Values, and then make the necessary changes.
- Click the property that you want to delete, click Delete, and then click Yes.
Note To remove the property from the document profile, clear the check box for the property. The property is not available to any document profile if you delete it.
- Click OK twice.
The property that you selected no longer appears on the document profile, and it is not available to any other document profiles in the document library.
