You can copy or move documents in the backward-compatible document library and place them in an enhanced or standard folder either in the same or another workspace, or in a local folder on your computer. The information that moves with the document depends on the nature of the source and destination folders.
If the document type conflicts with allowable document profiles in the destination folder, the default document profile for the destination folder is applied to the document.
Move documents from a network place
The document is now located in the destination folder, and the original document is removed from the source folder.
Copy or delete documents from a network place
If you are copying one or more files, right-click the destination folder, and then click Paste.
Copies of the documents reside in the destination folder. The original documents remain in the source folder.
Delete documents from the portal site
Note If the document has already been published, you can also find the document by using search. In this case, click the link to the folder that contains the document to locate the document.
Note The document may be available from a list on the Document Library page, or it may be located in a subfolder. If the document is located in a subfolder, open that folder to display its contents.
Caution The Delete command completely removes a document from the backward-compatible document library. You cannot restore a deleted document.
