Approve or reject a document in the backward-compatible document library

Approve or reject a document in the backward-compatible document library

If you are an approver for a document, you receive an approval e-mail containing a link to the item under review after the author submits the document for approval. You can approve or reject an item by using the appropriate commands in the approval e-mail message, the backward-compatible document library, or from the portal site. After a document is approved, Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 publishes the approved version. Users with appropriate permissions can search for and view the document on the portal site. As an approver, if you reject a document, it returns to the backward-comaptible document library in a checked-in, unpublished state.
