About settings for the backward-compatible document library
You can manage the following settings for the backward-compatible document library:
- General Settings This includes specifying a description of the document library, providing a contact name and e-mail address, and limiting the number of document versions retained.
- Security Settings This includes adding users to and removing users from the document library and folders that inherit security settings, and specifying membership in site groups that apply across the entire document library.
- Document Profiles This includes adding and managing document profiles and properties.
To change these settings, open the Web folder for the document library, open the Management folder, and then double-click Workspace Settings.
You can also change these settings directly from the portal site. To do this, on the title bar of the portal page, click Site Settings, and then click Change Document Library Settings.
